Our Municipal Engineering department provides a wide variety of public and private sector engineering services that range from site-specific play review on behalf of local government agencies to complete residential developments as well as highly complex utility plant projects. Clients include multiple municipalities and counties throughout South Florida and the Treasure Coast, FDOT and numerous residential and commercial real estate developers. The staff includes professional, civil, environmental and chemical engineers as well as CAD designers and permit administrators.

City of Miramar, FL Wastewater Reclamation Facility
As part of a design/build team effort with Cardinal Contractors, CGA is providing engineering design, surveying and site planning for the City of Miramar’s Wastewater Reclamation Facility. Services also entail permitting, construction, testing, start up and certification required to support the expansion to 10.5 million gallons per day. As part of the project our Surveying and Mapping Division provided highly accurate 3D images with the firm’s LeicaScanStation 3D Scanner.
City of Dania Beach, FL Lift Station Rehabilitation
The project encompasses rehabilitation for two sets of five sanitary lift stations. Our engineers upgraded the lift stations by rehabilitating the wet well and live box, as well as replacing the pumps and electrical panels. The installation of a generator and automatic transfer equipment allowed the station to be self-sustainable in the event of a disruption to power service.
City of Weston, FL Bonaventure Development District’s Storm Water Management Plan
In a contract for the City of Weston, Florida, CGA developed a storm water management plan for the Bonaventure Development District, which covers over 2,500 acres including 5,000 residential units and over 160 acres of bodies of water. The project also included construction documents and permits to replace two, 30-year-old storm water pump stations.
