Services also included administration of information technology, web site management, public relations, customer service and human resources. Financial services entailed accounting, purchasing, forecasting, risk management and reporting.
City of Pembroke Pines, FL
In July 2009, CGA signed a five-year contract with Broward County’s second largest city, Pembroke Pines, to administer the City’s Building Code Services department with a staff of 16, replacing an original department of 54 employees. One of the fastest growing cities in the country, Pembroke Pines, like most U.S. municipalities was facing eroding revenues thanks to the recessionary U.S. economy and was forced to evaluate options to cut costs and still provide building and zoning services. It is estimated that Pembroke Pines will realize a first year savings in the area of $1 million by outsourcing to CGA.
