Comprehensive Emergency Management plans for the Cities of Kissimmee and St. Cloud, FL
The Emergency Management Division developed comprehensive emergency management plans for the cities of Kissimmee and St. Cloud in order to develop consistency, continuity and compliance with the Orange County Emergency Management System.
Okeechobee Dike Emergency Evacuation Plan
The Emergency Management Division is supporting Palm Beach County Division of Emergency Management's efforts to ensure the safety of residents living around Lake Okeechobee in the event of a breach of the Herbert Hoover Dike or in advance of an approaching hurricane. With the joint efforts of the local, state and federal levels of government, an emergency evacuation plan is being created to address the roles and responsibilities of each jurisdiction, government agency, and area resident. CGA Emergency Management planners coordinated a regional summit at the Palm Beach County Convention Center and developed the policy guidance document. CGA was also instrumental in developing a public outreach brochure.
East Central Florida Post Disaster Economic Redevelopment Plan
CGA developed a regional post disaster economic redevelopment plan for the metro Orlando area and the surrounding six county region of East Central Florida. The plan provides guidance, processes and actions for business and government leaders to rapidly restore economic vitality following a disaster. The plan details an organizational framework for coordinated decision-making and information exchange during the difficult and often chaotic disaster recovery period.
