• Traffic Engineer

  CGA is seeking a transportation/traffic engineer for our Fort Lauderdale office. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and PE, PTOE is also desired. Candidates must have experience in signal design, traffic impact analysis, capacity analysis, travel demand forecasting, signal warrant analysis, intersection studies, and preparation of traffic reports. Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must be able to work well in groups as well as independently.

  Applicant  must have a minimum of 5 years of actual work experience not education in lieu of.

• Electrical Engineer

  CGA is looking to fill an immediate need for a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer for our Fort Lauderdale location. We are currently seeking electrical engineers with experience in electrical engineering design on projects managed by this department as well as on projects managed by others. The primary engineering function of this individual will be to assist in the design of complete electrical systems for facilities. This includes engineering plans and specifications that detail electrical systems such as power, lighting, tele/data, fire alarm, standby generators and site utilities. Additionally, may assist with construction administration duties such as equipment submittal review and occasional construction site observations.

  Training/Licensure Requirements

  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field; minimum  five (5) years experience with electrical engineering consulting field.  PE registration required.
  Must possess good written and oral communication skills and be able to give oral presentations. Candidate must be able to follow directions and work well with others.

• Code Compliance Inspectors

  CGA is seeking Code Compliance Inspectors. This is specialized technical work in the enforcement of general municipal codes of ordinances, property standards, zoning and other land use codes. Work involves providing code information, conducting field inspections for code compliance, issuing citations, referring to zoning maps and plats, researching property legal information and testifying at hearings relating to violations or citations.

  Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification with a minimum of 1 (one) year of relevant and direct work experience in the enforcement of codes and ordinances throughout a municipal jurisdiction. Applicants must be currently certified as a Level 1 Code Compliance Inspector by Florida Association of Code Enforcement (FACE) to be considered. FACE Level 2 must be obtained within one year of hire date. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record required.
