Today, through our expertise and advanced equipment, we daily perform these extremely complex mathematical functions for clients. The equipment is state-of-the-art. CGA uses electronic measuring devices to determine angles and distances, and then downloads this data into the computer systems from the field. Our surveyors make use of orbiting satellites to electronically pinpoint exact positions on the earth through the use of the Global Positioning System (GPS). Many Florida municipalities and agencies are utilizing our surveying data, along with research, to create detailed parcel base maps.
CGA is among the first firms in Florida to acquire the Leica ScanStation, a "workhorse" that completes surveying in half the time of conventional methods. Survey scanning is significantly faster, more precise and efficient, its innovation is all in the details.

Alexan Plantation
The project entailed surveying of 54 building sites for Trammel Crow Residential’s Alexan Plantation. The 48-acre site will involve on-going surveying responsibilities over the course of numerous building stages.

Services include surveying for the Verizon Data Center in the City of Pembroke Pines.
Town of Surfside Water Main Replacement
Surveying & Mapping joined with Civil Engineering to upgrade approximately 33,000 linear feet of water for the town’s potable water distribution system.
Labadee, Haiti
Working in concert with Subaqueous Services, Surveying & Mapping provided hydrographic surveys for the construction of a new cruise ship pier in Labadee, Haiti. The project consisted of construction of a new 1,675-linear-foot dock, hydraulic dredging for a turning basin, construction of rock groins and beach re-nourishment.
