Case Studies
City of Dunwoody, GA
In January 2009, DeKalb County, Georgia’s newest municipality, Dunwoody, (population approximately 40,000) located north of Atlanta, signed CGA to a three-year, multi-purpose management contract for finance and administrative services. In the first six months our team oversaw the installation of telephone and IT systems, opened the new City Hall, staffed the police department, including the purchase of 48 police vehicles, and implemented the court system. Services also included administration of information technology, web site management, public relations, customer service and human resources. Financial services entailed accounting, purchasing, forecasting, risk management and reporting.
City of Pembroke Pines, FL
In July 2009, CGA signed a five-year contract with Broward County’s second largest city, Pembroke Pines, to administer the City’s Building Code Services department with a staff of 16, replacing an original department of 54 employees. Once of the fastest growing cities in the country, Pembroke Pines, like most U.S. municipalities was facing eroding revenues thanks to the recessionary U.S. economy and was forced to evaluate options to cut costs and still provide building and zoning services. It is estimated that Pembroke Pines will realize a first year savings in the area of $1 million by outsourcing to CGA.
City of West Park, FL
In 2005, Broward County’s newest city, West Park signed a three-year agreement with CGA for a multi-purpose municipal services management contract encompassing approximately two-dozen professional staff. Service provided included community development, planning and zoning, geographic information systems design, code enforcement, web site development and management, parks and recreation, streets, rights-of-way and facilities, engineering, landscape architecture and surveying and mapping.
