Case Studies:
Town of Surfside, FL
CGA manages and maintains all network related hardware and software for the Town of Surfside with on-site staff. CGA makes all recommendations on hardware, software and all future contracts. We manage anti-virus definition updates. All website updates are performed by CGA IT staff and hosted by CGA’s data center. CGA operates and manages the Town’s broadcast system. All events occurring in the commission chambers are sent live to the local cable channel while simultaneously recording the event for rebroadcast at a later date and time.
City of Dunwoody, FL
As the IT service provider for the for the City of Dunwoody, GA, CGA plans, designs, maintains and documents the network infrastructure which includes, but is not be limited to, firewall management, Cisco routers, centralized database storage, data sharing, email (for both internal and external communications using Microsoft Exchange), nightly backups, internet connection, ensures that software licensing is up-to-date, analyzes or configures VPN (virtual private network) connectivity for remote users accessing Town data and end user desktop support. Included under this contract is spam monitoring, virus inoculations and spyware monitoring. CGA was involved in the startup of this new vibrant City. Other installation and deployment under this contract include police 911 dispatch software and court system software.
South Broward Drainage District, FL
CGA has extensive experience working with South Broward Drainage District on numerous projects. These project range from basic mapping and analysis of the districts infrastructure to more complex mobile GIS development. The GPS work completed for the Drainage District began with development of a mobile GIS application to capture manholes, culverts, catch basins and end walls throughout the district. This application was created from scratch and included a wide variety of subtypes and domains to allow for easy attribution in the field by the drainage district employees.
City of Greenacres, FL
CGA converted an existing Excel based Street Sign inventory to GIS points. Each point was assigned unique ID’s and mapped accordingly. The inventory was created and validated by the City of Greenacres Public Works department. The final products for this project included a map book of all signs located throughout the City of Greenacres along with an Interactive PDF for utilization in the field by Public Works staff. CGA GIS staff is also contracted by the City to provide on-site GIS support in an effort to maintain all GIS data current.
City of Weston, FL
CGA provides the City of Weston with the full spectrum of GIS support. An on-site GIS professional reports to the City Public Works department to provide on-going GIS support. Services include data management, GIS project planning, GIS web application development, GPS field intelligence, GIS data analysis, dialy maintenance of all data layers and map creation.
Miami-Dade County, FL
Miami-Dade County, Office of Neighborhood Compliance, utilizes INKforce™ E-ticketing for their mobile work force of over 80 code enforcement officers. ONC code compliance experts regularly address violations such as overgrown lots, junk and trash, abandoned vehicles, graffiti, zoning violations and other neighborhood regulations. The goal in creating this mobile agency was to provide liaisons within different communities, resolve complex cases and provide code enforcement education to Miami-Dade residents. After deployment of INKforce™, an internal analysis by Miami-Dade County found that these enhancements have already generated a savings of $500,000.
City of Odessa, TX
With INKforce, Odessa Code Enforcement Officers can access schedules and directions, property and complaint histories, city and county ordinance specifications and they can secure signatures and issue compliance notices on the spot (or automatically initiate a certified mailing to the property owner). Odessa's INKforce system will include enhanced software that adds improved efficiency for code enforcement officers. Inspectors won’t need to memorize city codes, instead they will use a built-in search feature to view codes on the screen.
County of Prince George, VA
Prince George County, a suburban area in southeast Virginia, has selected INKforce™ for its comprehensive total solution package. The company will provide comprehensive countywide software services. The County of Prince George chose INKforce™ as the vendor of choice after a six month evaluation process. The County selected the company to provide all-inclusive government software designed to increase efficiency, save money and deliver superior services to their citizens. The agreement calls on INKforce™, a software developer of government automation tools, to provide its Code Enforcement, Building & Permitting, Planning & Zoning, Fire Inspections and Point of Sale software solutions.

Third Place presented to Calvin, Giordano & Associates in this category for Sewer Utilities Network utilizing the City of Weston’s Utility Network. Data was developed by CGA and implemented into a map series to be used by Weston.
